Books
- Knitgrrl, my first tween/teen/beginner-focused knitting book, published by Watson Guptill Publications in September 2005. A bestseller and recipient of many excellent reviews, including a starred review in Booklist, plus School Library Journal, knit.1 magazine, Interweave Knits magazine and more, Knitgrrl was selected for the New York Public Library’s Books for the Teen Age list and nominated for several other awards.
- Knitgrrl 2, the second in the Knitgrrl series, published April 2006. Includes the same fantastic step-by-step instructional photos that made Knitgrrl a hit, as well as 16 new patterns.
- Spin to Knit was published by Interweave Press in October 2006.
- Felt Frenzy, co-authored with Heather Brack, was published by Interweave Press in spring 2007.
- Crochet Style was published by Creative Homeowner in January 2007.
- Just Socks and Just Gifts, were published by Potter Craft June 2007.
- AlterNation, co-authored with Alexandra Underhill, was published by North Light Books in November 2007.
- The Pillow Book was published by Chronicle Books in March 2008.
- How to Knit in the Woods was published by Mountaineers/Skipstone in April 2008
- Alt Fiber was published by Ten Speed Press in September 2008
- The second edition of Knitting for Dummies, which I updated/edited, was published fall 2008
- Get Cultured (cultural guidebook series). I was the Central Europe writer and managing editor with responsibility for Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Munich, Berlin and Bratislava. Samples available.

- Blogcritics contributor. For the most current list of my articles, click here. Blogcritics is a self-styled “sinister cabal of superior bloggers on music, books, film, popular culture, and technology - updated continuously.” Blogcritics provides reviews and other online content to Advance.net, a portal for online and print media across the country. My reviews of fall 2005 Bauhaus (including photos I shot) and Depeche Mode were both picked up by Cleveland.com
